Fidelity International has appointed Keong Kim as a fixed income trader for emerging markets, in London.

A ten-year veteran of PineBridge Investments, Kim started his career at the firm in 2016 as a fixed income trader.

Kim, who holds a master’s degree in Banking and International Finance from Bayes Business School was most recently head of trading and assistant portfolio manager at PineBridge, a role he took on in October 2023.

PineBridge also recently saw the departure of Chris Perryman, head of trading and portfolio manager, who has left the industry to study construction and building.

In December 2024, Metlife IM announced its agreement to acquire PineBridge from the Pacific Century Group. More than half of the client assets acquired in the transaction are held by investors outside of the US, with one-third in Asia. The acquisition excludes PineBridge’s private equity funds group business and its joint venture in China.

After the takeover, Mick Sweeney was retained as head of EMEA having been CEO, EMEA at PineBridge, while Kirk Sweeney was retained as head of APAC, having been CEO, APAC for PineBridge.

Tim Rabe, MetLife’s head of fixed income took over the joint operations for the combined firm.
